Do you Vlog?

Blogging means writing articles and publishing online on your own websites/blogs or article writing sites. Vlogging means publishing video articles and publishing on video sharing platforms like Youtube, Facebook etc.

Even though there are a lot of vlogging platforms where you can publish your videos and earn from your videos, but youtube remains the most popular choice for vlogging. As long as you can create video content, you can become a vlogger and make money from vlogging.

Getting started is not very difficult, if your video is ready you can start your vlog in less than 5 minutes. Making money from videos is not very difficult provided you create useful and interesting content.

I had a youtube channel for a long time but I never cared to upload videos and start vlogging until April last year. When Covid pandemic put me locked in the house, I decided to spend my time doing something creative, therefore, I decided to vlog. Then I started creating videos and uploading them on my channel. Over the months, I promoted my channel and videos aggressively and managed to get some subscribers and views on videos. Sadly, I could not reach the monetization threshold and soon lost motivation to continue with my youtube channel.

Do you vlog? Are you making money from your videos?

I have bought one domain name for my website and I am working on creating contents for that site right now. I have all plans to add a lot of video content there on my website and maybe later have a YouTube channel as an extension of the same. I am working a little on it everyday. So everything is still in planning phase.
I am sorry that you lost your motivation. I know that the earnings do not happen overnight and one needs to be really patient and consistent. Hope you can go back to your Vlogging soon and it picks up again.

Bluehost is a web hosting company owned by Endurance International Group. It is one of the 20 largest web hosts, collectively hosting well over 2 million domains. The company operates its servers in-house in a 50,000 square feet facility in Orem, Utah. Bluehost employs over 750 people in its Utah facility.
Thanks for sharing the information. I would look for a hosting service soon. My husband has used hostgater for his website for two years now and he is happy with their services. He has some benefits for adding one more website with the same service. So I was planning to go with that. But now as you suggest this, I might look into this option too and compare the two and then decide.

I think youtube is the best platform to share video. If you are posting video content on your website, you will be using a lot of resources on your websites and the shared hosting may not be enough for your website and you might have to use VPS or Dedicated Servers, which will increase your cost. You can try sharing videos on youtube and then embedding on your website.

Thanks for the suggestion. My husband too felt the same thing. I hope that I am able to bring my plan to execution soon. I had plans to do it in April itself but then I got covid and still struggling to get back to my regular energy level. I have started making few trial videos. This is my first time trying video and so I need a bit of rough practice.

Sorry to hear about your Covid issue. I hope you have recovered fully. Maybe you can talk to the camera and make a video about how you recovered from Covid, This will be very informational and will be liked by many people. If you want to publish videos, you need to create content on topics that would be liked by many people

I had plans to have my vlog site but my wife is against it. She said that vlogging is not an easy project like blogging because I write well and fast. With a vlog I have to make videos and that is taxing. Come to think of it, my wife is correct on the taxing part because it is not easy to shoot videos much more in editing such.

I am fully recovered except for some tiredness and weakness that is still lingering on. You are right that creating contents on something that people would like is important.Somehow I have not been so comfortable ever to make videos around personal stuff. Though I have seen many YouTube videos around that and they are doing good.

I have never been a Vlogger. Well, actually, I am not that much interested in making videos or a Youtube channel and it is my personal choice. I am a writer so I am more likely to become a blogger rather than a Vlogger. I do plan to create my own blog in the future but right now I do not have any plans to create a video channel on Facebbook or Youtube. Things might take a big turn if I do change my mind in the future. :)

If you want to evolve as a vlogger, you need to face the camera. Vloggers who are comfortable on camera can do well on vlogging. You also need to be a good talker. You may show your skills on the video, however, if you don't show your face or talk begin the camera, your videos will be boring. Vlogging pays better than blogging.

My job responsibility this year requires me to make some videos every month as a counselor of the school. That would be a good practice. Today I made one and it was pretty good..I am feeling confident now. Staying hopeful.

I have a youtube channel where I publish videos once in a while. My earnings from adsense is very small. It takes many months to reach the payment threshold on youtube. However, I earn well from affiliate marketing and review videos. I have not yet used pateron but I am thinking to use pateron to monetize my videos.
