Finance Would You Ever Fund A Government Project?

There are many governmental organizations that have been providing investments and funding opportunities to the people in this world. My government does not have the money to deal with the problems in the country but it is still trying to develop infrastructure and creating many development projects that may yield benefits to people and many investors can also benefit from these projects. This is why many big business tycoons also fund these projects and they sign a contract with the government that indicates that the business financiers will also receive some sort of financial benefit from the project. This is something quite commonly found in countries where the public has more money than the government and I live in such kind of country. Unfortunately, since there is a lots of corruption in the country, most of the investors are reluctant to fund government projects. However, still there are a few influential investors who have still funded the government projects and they have also formed a board of investors. These investors not only fund projects like building railways, bus stands, transportation, but they also fund projects that involve betterment and development of agricultural sectors. So, would you ever fund a government project?

Well, straight up yes.

But here's the catch, the said government should judiciously use the money for the projects, my country is corrupt too and it's a pity for us the citizens.

If I ever be in that position, then I rather create a foundation that will be doing these infrastrucutural projects, because I know through nook or crook some people would like to play smart.

Another advantage is you'll solidify your reputation and be remembered as an philanthropist if you do it direct rather than giving government the proceeds.

I would be reluctant to invest in my country because I have myself seen many government projects getting abandoned after they were started by the government. The government of my country is really corrupt and it does not have funds to cover the expenses or refund the money to investors in case the project fails. This is why many people prefer starting their own private business instead of funding into such kind of projects. People fear losing money and the government fails to convince the investors when it comes to investing into such kind of projects.
