It might seems a great idea to share your business idea with others asking for financial assistance to start the business. You might be getting food feedback to assist from the public but you might at the same time be jeopardizing your opportunity of making it big with your business idea
The following three risks are what you might be confronted with before you might even get the money
plagiarism of the business idea: People wouldn't mind to start using your idea before you are able to find the money. So while you are still looking out for one that would find the idea worthy to invest in another has test out the idea and it might even be hijack if you are still unable to fund the business idea.
Hindrances by competitor: If you are about to come in to already established industry but with a unique product or service. it can be sabotage by your competition. They may stand as hindrance and might stop others from funding the business
Dying a natural death; The whole business idea can be ruined as those in the know would stand against any reasonable funding which will make starting the business very difficult.
So even when public funding sound great it might still be a wrong move if you are not really careful.
