As many of you know, yoga is a great way to make yourself feel better, both physically and emotionally. Some people don't know the best ways to help their friends and loved ones reap the benefits of yoga, so I put together a list of 6 important tips to help you out!

1: Make sure you have the correct mat. There are many different types of yoga, so make sure you have the right mat for your chosen practice.

2: Wear the right clothing. Yoga can be practiced in any type of clothing, but some clothes are better than others.

3: Bring your own water. Yoga is a workout, so you'll need plenty of water to stay hydrated.

4: Don't eat a big meal before your practice. You don't want to feel bloated or nauseous during your class.

5: Listen to your instructor. They know what they're doing!

6: Don't be afraid to ask questions! Everyone feels nervous starting something new, so don't be shy about asking questions if you need help.
