It has medical effect of taking water pre or post meals. As you know the enzymes which are responsible for our digestion right from the stomach. When we do ready for eat, these enzymes get activated to wait the food pieces. And after taking the meals it helps to digest the food in stomach. But if you take water before the meals which is not reached to stomach, the water deactivate those enzymes so the food would be in garbage position in the stomach and would not be digested. The same thing happens after meals, water defuse the enzymes to digest the meals and the meals get perished which causes many stomach diseases. So taking water pre or post meals is bad and harmful.
