Many bloggers get discouraged after a few weeks or months when their blog fails to attract thousands of readers. It’s a real shame, because if bloggers follow a few simple steps to market blogs, then they are more likely to find that there are willing audiences who are already dying to read about so many topics. So what can a blogger do to be recognized? Here are a few blog marketing ideas that should get more blogs getting the right traffic in the shortest possible time. Blog about a niche: The world doesn't really need another 'empty blog' for breakfast. Unless you are a good role model girl who wants to put a lot of pictures on your blog, then you will probably have a hard time getting noticed. If you already have a blank blog and are wondering why you are not getting traffic, you will need to know that the empty blog market is full. Consider starting or converting your blog to another topic - interest or hobby for example. Next, you need to start posting on the forums. Enter a blog URL in your forum signature (do not create spam "see my blog"). If you just join the conversation naturally, then people will get to know you and you will get a few more students. If the forum you post is related to the same topic on your blog then you will find readers repeating it! Try to find the most popular forums in the niche you are writing about. To find them, simply go to Google and search for your niche keyword and 'forum' and you should find a list. Try to find forums with at least a few thousand active members. Make sure you keep track of and retrieve other blogs you've linked to so they know about you. When people find out that you talked about them, they'll come and see what you have to say. So do some of their students. Talking about popular stories from popular blogs can get you more than just a few visitors. Comment on other people's blogs as much as possible (without spam). In most cases, you can put a link back to your blog and people will follow these links. It is also good to identify blogs that discuss the same topic with you because then you will find targeted readers who can continue reading your blog. (Avoid using “spam comments” as Google may follow this and punish you). Most importantly, you need to keep blogging! No one will return to a blog that is updated weekly or only occasionally. You need to add more content at least once a day, especially in the early stages of recognition for your blog. This is very important.
