A problematic manager can affect the efficiency of the department

It is common to encounter a problematic manager who may be out of bounds when you make a mistake. Sometimes there is a manager that is temperamental even if you are not doing anything wrong. It’s like your pretty face can peeve the manager. In my case, a dumb manager is better than a smart but problematic and temperamental manager. In my wife’s case, their manager before was so strict that she would shame the erring subordinate with her loud voice. Several employees have resigned out of shame and anger against the problematic manager.

So what you should do is to write down the facts. It is important that you get the facts straight and that you are not overcome by emotions. If the manager is really out of bounds and already abusing the erring employee then that is a ground for suspension or even termination. But before reporting the manager be sure that there he has no strong connection to the higher ups or even to the owner of the company. That would spell doom for your report.

Absolutely true!!. A problematic manger would generally dampen the mode of the workers in his/her department which would generally result in a decrease in efficiency of the department. This is the sole reason companies consider the personality of the people they want to employ during interviews. Companies generally go for people who can comfortably work in a team as they are less problematic.

This is completely true. Having a problematic manager is a very terrible place to be. You wake up everyday, scared with zero motivation to even go to work. You get to work and you are literally walking on eggshells because you do not want to be screamed at. The best is to have a plan of leaving such work place because you can not even function well and be at your absolute best.
