Buying a house has many caveat to mean there may be a hidden problem. For the final look at the property, it is best if you bring along an engineer or even a master carpenter to check on the structure for potential repairs. List down the findings so you can study the pricing vis-à-vis the cost of the repairs. When the cost of repairs is substantial you can bargain the amount to be deducted from the asking price. If there is a pest like termites the advice is to forgo the purchase and look for another property to buy.A pest can be treated but it is not good to sell a house with termites.
