The Red Partyis the main critics of crypto in Norway, proposed the ban on energy and environmental issues, suggested mplementation of a higher power tax rate on mining, but on May 13, the proposed ban was rejected in the Norwegian Parliament. Although, Red Party was able to gain support from anti crypto Socialist Left Party, and Green Party, yet other parties were against the proposed ban following the growing popularity of cryptocurrency.

The vote has signified a greater win for crypto mining industry which is now celebrating the vote. Supporters of Bitcoin mining are claiming that they use renewable energy like hydropower, and support "green mining",
