Blogging with a not so common niche

There are many popular bloggers and countless of types of blogs. Pardon me for saying this but most of the popular blogs that I checked were quite ordinary except that the blogger is kind of weird or not ordinary. Their appearance is out of this world just to be different because being different will make you be noticed.

For a serious blogger being weird is out of the question. What’s important is the niche. Before the pandemic when the hype for gardening has started a friend was already blogging about her gardening. It was nice to read although the videos are quite boring because the blogger is not an actor but just a writer. Nevertheless she has thousands of regular readers because her niche was not so ordinary but interesting and worth the time of the readers.

Niche matters in blogging because some niche brings more traffic than others, some niches get high paying ads than others. However, while choosing the niche you need to see whether the niche gets searches or not. There is no point in using a niche that does not even get 500 searches in the month. You also need to avoid over saturated niches.
