Haulage is the movement of goods from place to place for commercial purpose. As long as business thrives, haulage would always exist. The goods must move from the manufacturer to the end users. Haulage ensures they are transported.
There is always a market for Haulage to thrive. The business of haulage is capital intensive and the returns on investment take a long time to yield. Getting of trucks, tankers and ships could be possible if there is enough capital but getting trusted hands to use them is a herculean task.

There are many challenges haulage business owners face and it's very stressful. First of all, the roads are a very big problem. If your truck for haulage ply on these bad roads, breaking down of the truck is inevitable and you would have to spend money to repair the truck anytime it breaks down. Also the insincerity of the driver's of these trucks is a major problem. Most of them do not get to their destination on time due to unnecessary diversions.

In our country haulage business is popularly known as logistics. The company owns trucks, big and small, to carry the cargo from the source to the destination. There is a big logistics company in our town which owns more than 100 big trucks so obviously it is big business. However, the capital is huge because you would need a garage for the delivery vehicles.
