When it comes to business it is better to keep.sentiments and emotions aside. Hiring or adopting a family member into your business should be by merit so that you don't displeased yourself while pleasing others even when they don't deserve it.

You can use the below checklist to screen your family members before bringing them. into your business

Suitability : Ask yourself are they suitable for the post? ...

Demand for a job: Do they want the job? are they interested and do they show passion for it.

previous experience; Check to see if they have relevant previous experience related to the business

Willingness to work: Are they willing to work and earn or they just want to paid even without lifting a finger

I have never considered and would never be a fan of having your family member work for you in your business. It doesn't earn well. Even when you have used the above checklist and they gave have been marked right, a point would come when complacency would still set in and they would still feel entitled.y

The major challenge with having family members work for your business organisation is that you really can't take disciplinary measures as firmly as you would have taken with others.
