Design and home interior tips for renters and homeowners

Designing and decorating for renters and homeowners is a lot different than designing for homeowners. The first thing you need to do is make sure that you have your priorities straight.

Home design tips for renters:

1. Make sure that your home is livable, comfortable and functional. This means everything from the size of the rooms, to the amount of light they get, to how much storage space you have available, etc.

2. Decorate with a sense of style and personal taste in mind. It will make it easier to stay focused on what matters most: keeping your home clean, warm and comfortable!

3. Consider lighting as well as color when choosing furnishings, decorations, etc. Light can make any space look bright and cheery while dark colors can be more restful and relaxing when it comes time for bed at night or when having guests over for dinner parties.

4. Switch out your furniture.

You don't have to go out and buy new pieces of furniture — just try switching out one or two items in your living room or bedroom. For example, rather than having the same sofa and chairs in both rooms, put them side by side in the living room and turn one chair upside down on the other side of the couch for a more modern look.

5. Get rid of clutter.

If there's anything that will make your living space feel more open and spacious, it's cleaning out all of your closet items, especially clothes that haven't been worn in years! This will create more space in your closet while also making it easier to find things when you need them — like that shirt that you wore once last year but never wear again.

6. Buy new curtains or blinds for a bolder style statement (and cheaper cost).

Renters and homeowners can benefit from the same decorating tips, but it's important to remember that the way you decorate for each group differs. For renters, the goal is to make their home feel like a temporary residence. Renters want to be able to move out in a few months and not have to worry about what they'll do with their possessions when they do. They don't have the luxury of keeping their space neat and organized at all times — they're just trying to get by until they can buy something more permanent.

For homeowners, on the other hand, it's important to keep your house looking nice and inviting for visitors — even if you're just renting it out for a few weeks or months at a time. If you're using a vacation home as an investment property, then it's even more important that you keep things looking good so that potential buyers are attracted to your property rather than thinking about how messy things could be if they were moving in themselves.
