Affiliate marketing is an online job whereby you get to help a particular brand to market their products and in the process, you make more sales for them in which you get paid for it somehow, although this is an online work but it is not a freelance job where you get to be paid as a gig worker, in this, you will be paid probably the more you bring in customers for the particular company you work with.
The thing you should know about this is that there are disadvantages to this job as well. Which are;

1. You do not get to make the rules about the program, what I meant to say is that, you will get to do as you are told, you will be working on your own though but you have to follow the regulations or the terms attached to the work you do because you are being paid by some people superior to you.

2. You do not have the power to determine the competition in the market, as we all know that there is always competitors in every line or business, it might just be higher than the others. So if you happen to find yourself working for an organization that deals with products that already has alternatives in the market, then it will be kind of complicated for a marketer to convince customers.

The disadvantage of affiliate marketing is for example if there are similarity in IP address between you and referred user then you will have your account blocked and this is common and happens always as most of people login on shared wifi address and not at home this is one of disadvantages for referring some friends to a site.

Affiliate marketing can be time-consuming when you looking for a winning product to promote in order to make commission.

The reason is that most of the winning products usually receive a tough competition from the affiliate marketers. this usually happens when the product has a good conversion rate in the marketplace.

it is not easy to crack the code of affiliate marketing because it requires a series of steps in the right direction. Affiliate marketing can be a waste of time and resources when you are trying to figure it out yourself.

Well all this does not really matter because there is no need for such opportunity, because the opportunity they are giving you as an affiliate marketer does not stop you from progressing, if everybody thinks that this opportunity hinders them from progressing as an affiliate marketer then they should just create their own products and progress as they want to..It is not the role in affiliate marketing that is making a lot of people to see failure... I know some of your points are valid but it is just for educational purpose and people should not take it personal... I even beginning to have interest in affiliate marketing.

Yes you are right and I am very sure that it depends on how the person is serious about the, because affiliate marketing is a type of business that does not require a lot of capital in order for everything to work appropriately the way we want, but still one can engage on this type of business because it owns reward by getting a lot of money within short time with it, but only if one is devoted and serious about the business, and it seems you are interested in engaging in affiliate marketing, I will advice you to give it a trial because you will earn passive income within a very limited time with it.
