Do and Don’ts of Providing Customer Support

A lot of web hosting companies give you free SSL, but on Namecheap you will have to buy SSL from the second year onward. However, I am using namecheap for many years, do you know why? Well, that’s because they have excellent support. If I have some issue and I use live chat, my issue will be addressed within 2 minutes. Key to sales and revenue is excellent customer support.

Here are some dos and don’ts of providing customer support.

Dos

Be as quick as possible, people love businesses that offer quick support

Check the facts before responding to the issue, and see if the issue is legit

Be as polite as you can.

Address all issues, including misunderstanding, if any.

Don’ts

Some customers are annoying, however, never show your frustrations on customers. Don’t be in an impression that losing one customer will not harm you.

Some customers bring fake issues, don’t tell them they are fake outright, make the customer realize it.
