There are many individuals as well who are mining coins and making good money. However, we must also consider the environmental effects of cryptocurrency mining as well because it is one of the main issues that might have an impact on the world.

I have never taken my time to read more on how mining of cryptocurrency works, but from my little understanding I believe that using of industrial machine during the mining process can contribute immensely to the pollution of the atmosphere.
A lot of electricity are needs to be generated for the mining process of bitcoins , and generation of electricity through coal-burning for mining requires a lot of fuel. This energy in form of goal will always release carbon dioxide into the environment. So directly or indirectly I believe mining of cryptocurrency has something to do with pollution of the atmosphere.

This is the main reason behind prevent cryptocurrencies transactions for most of countries because if you transact 10 $ from one person to another no energy is provided while this is not the case for transact of 10 $ of BCH or 10 $ of BNB as every single transaction cost energy so developers has to invent something new to resolve this problem as soon as possible. Crypto mining doesn't generate enough revenue like crypto earning from writing or perform a job. This is the sad truth. To mine 0.01 $ you need to let your device working for enough time while one upvote at read cash could let you earn this money.

Crypto mining requires a lot of energy to power the miners. Most of the mining operations are using fossil fuels. Burning fossil fuels will cause pollution. For example, if you are powering your mining equipment through gas generators or coal, you will be creating a lot of pollution. However, if you are using renewable energy and green energy such as geothermal energy, hydro energy, wind energy, or solar energy there will be almost no pollution. Using renewable energy also means you will be reducing the price of the energy as renewable energy cost less in the long run compared to fossil fuel.
