In a few places in India, some citizens who are growing plants or have a small garden are falsely accused of being responsible for dengue, a disease caused by mosquitoes, to the people in the area. In some cases, the water supply to the house is also cut for growing a few plants, officially to prevent dengue . The home owner is also not allowed to keep any plants on their terrace, falsely claiming that it causes dengue. Do the local officials in the area you live in harass some people with a garden, falsely accusing them of causing dengue ? Do they sometimes cut all their plants without their permission or is this harassment method is popular only in some areas of India?
