Effect of AI-Generated Content for SEO

If you post on forums or article sites where you earn from your posting activities, you might have come across a rule that states publishing AI generated content is against the terms of use. The owner of these sites believe that AI generated content is bad for SEO and does not attract search traffic.

I do not publish AI generated content on any sites including my own. Therefore, I have practically no experience. However, I would like to know if using AI tools to create content could actually hinder organic traffic to your site. What do Google, Bing or other search engines say about effect of AI content on search engine ranking?
