You don't stop listening to a song, you hear it on the radio, on television, in commercials, and on social networks ... you listen to them over and over again till the end.

And in the end, even if you don't want to, even if you don't like the song, you end up humming it. You end up learning the song unconsciously. Are you sure it has ever happened to you?

Believe it or not, this happens in finance too. There are certain financial issues that, despite not being true, people consider them as good and repeat them over and over again.

I don't know what you mean but it looks like the financial rumor you are talking about. There was a time that the exchange rate of our currency to the US dollar was rumored to be doubled which means our currency will drop in value. But that did not happen because it was just a hype. Personally I do not believe in such rumors about finances.
