Hanged Till Death| Pakistan's former president and dictator Pervez Musharraf has been sentenced to death. On Tuesday, a special court in Islamabad convicted Musharraf and sentenced him to death. But this is not the first time a Head of State has been sentenced to death for a crime.

This has happened before also. The President of many countries of the world, the Prime Minister has been punished. If someone was sentenced to death by the court of their country, then someone got sentenced to death by the International Court of Justice. We are telling you about some such Presidents and Prime Ministers in the next slide. See further slides.

Ion Antonsque -
Ion Antonscu was born on 14 June 1882. He was a soldier and an authoritarian politician. He was the Prime Minister of Romania during the Second World War from 1940 to 1944. During the dictatorial regime, he himself remained the Prime Minister as well as the post of Foreign Minister and Defense Minister. After World War Ion was convicted of war crimes, breach of peace and treason and sentenced to death. On 1 June 1946, the army firing squad shot him to death.


Ivan Ivanov Bagriyanov-

Ivan Ivanov Bagrianov was born on 17 October 1891. He was a prominent Bulgarian politician who was Prime Minister of Bulgaria during World War II (from 1 June 1944 to 2 September 1944).
Bagrianov was known for his pro-Western views. They wanted to take Bulgaria out of the war before the Red Army arrived. For this, they opened the doors of dialogue with Western countries but failed completely. After a struggle he abolished all anti-Jewish laws. After which the Communist-led government came to power in Bulgaria, who hanged him on 1 February 1945, convicted of war crimes.

Zulfikar Ali Bhutto -
Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was born on 5 January 1928 in the Bombay Presidency (presently Sindh Province of Pakistan) in undivided India. He was Prime Minister of Pakistan from the years 1973 to 1977 and prior to that during the rule of Ayub Khan. Due to differences with Ayub Khan, in 1967, he founded his new party (PPP). At the time of the Indo-China War of 1962, Pakistan War of 1965 and 1971, Bhutto held important positions at the time of the three. He was hanged in 1979 after a decision by the Supreme Court of Pakistan. It is believed to be the hand of the then military ruler Zia ul Haq.

Dobri Bozhilov-
Dobri Bozhilov was born on 13 June 1884. He was the 29th Prime Minister of Bulgaria. Bozhilov was prime minister at the time of World War II and worked closely with the Germans, who are said to have become his puppets during the war. He was not in support of the only thing of the Nazis that the government should send all the Jews to concentration camps and they did not do so. Bozilov was also sentenced to death in February 1945 by a Communist-led government convicted of war crimes.

Hideki Tojo -
Hideki Tojo was born on 30 December 1884. He was a military officer and political leader of Japan.
He was educated at the Imperial Military Academy, after which he was appointed to the rank of Deputy Lieutenant. Hideki became Minister of War in the year 1960. A year later, he took over as the Prime Minister. The Japanese government was weakened after America's successful invasion of the Mariana Islands. In 1945, Japan made a formal surrender. After surrender, Tojo attempted suicide but survived. After this, he was tried as a criminal and hanged on 23 December 1948.

Saddam Hussein -


Saddam Hussein was born on 28 April 1937 in the village of Al-Oja near Tikrit, north of Baghdad.
In 1957, 20-year-old Saddam joined the Baath Party. In the party, Saddam established himself among the Sunnis and formed a group back and forth. On 16 July 1979, al-Bakr was removed from power and he himself sat on the Iraqi throne. He succeeded the President of Iraq.
