I think you will be protected by the law if you register your company and also consult a lawyer regarding infringement laws and he or she will be able to guide you in a much better way. There are many companies that try to protect their products by sticking a copyright label on their products. The same goes for materials published online or products provided through the internet.

A business name is registered with the government agency (department of trade and industries). For infringement cases it has to be filed with that agency for a hearing and possible resolution. There was a case in the US where a restaurant used the name Sony. The Japanese electronic company sued the restaurant and won the case.

This is why it is always important to register your business with te right authorities. especially the business name, it is to give you a kind of covering against any one using it. so register your business and get it officially known. You can use the law against anyone trying to play smart with your labor

There are some kinds of online businesses and platforms that says this kind of problem. There are times you will want to visit a platform and the domain extension of that platform with another almost the same thing but the difference maybe.com or .io. That is the reason why a lot of big companies we buy every domain extension that carries your name so that unscrupulous people who will not use it to scam people.

When it comes to offline business, you're free to copy from any one and run it on your own way if it pleases to you. Even online business can be copied, their is no copyright law that is holding that as fraudulent. Where it is deemed fraudulent is when you copied or manipulate one's creativity to make your own, that's fraudulent, and subjected to pay penalty when you're find guilty of it.
