Social media influencer is a lucrative career, anyone including an average Joe can actually make money as a social media influencer. If you want to become a social media influencer, you will have to remember a couple of things:
Platforms: You can become an influencer on facebook, instagram, twitter, tiktok, youtube, etc. It is not possible to work on all social media channels and become an influencer on all of these popular channels, therefore, you will have to chose a channel based on your skills and interest. Even though you can post videos on facebook, instagram, youtube, tiktok etc. you will have to choose between youtube or tiktok in order to start as a video content creator. If you choose multiple platforms, you may not be able to give enough time to all the channels you are in and you may not be successful on all of these channels.
Interest: If you are not good at performing (singing, dancing, talking, acting), how can you become successful as a video content creator? If you are not camera friendly and if you cannot create good videos, you might not be able to become successful on tiktok and youtube.
Building followers: organic growth might not help you, you might have to run ads.

Becoming an influencer is having a good social media presence.
Here are key ideas to building up your social media presence.

1. Make sure that you are posting authentic content that reflects you as a person, business, or brand. This will help you attract followers who are genuinely interested in what you have to say!

2. Engage with your followers and show interest in their posts. For example, like their Instagram stories and reply to their tweets. You want them to know that they are valued members of your online community.

3. Be consistent in how often you post and what kind of content you post. If people can rely on seeing new posts every Tuesday at 10 AM, they'll be more likely to follow along.

4. Analyze yourself

Create a "personal SWOT analysis" so you know what your strengths are, where you need help, and how you can improve.

5. Find your voice

As an influencer, it's important that your personality shines through in your social media posts. Be authentic! Be honest! Be YOU!

6. Evaluate your audience

What type of content do they want to see? What do they interact with the most? What are their interests? Use this information to create a plan for future posts.
