An employers expectations towards his or her employees is for them to be highly effective and efficient in performing their roles and responsibilities pertaining to goals and objectives achievement and accomplishment within and outside the business organisation. However, in most cases and situations some employees underperforms in performing their roles and responsibilities. The unique step in which an employer can obviously take to fix that, is basically to sack or terminate such an underperforming employee, and therefore employs another who is my capable. The above step is considered to be rude and irrational. Moreover, below are some more noble steps an employer can follow to handle and manage underperforming organizational employees:
SUPPORT AND COACHING: Provide the employee with the resources, support, and coaching they need to improve. This may include additional training, mentoring, or other forms of assistance.
DEFINE EXPECTATIONS: Make sure the employee understands their role, responsibilities, and performance expectations. If necessary, provide additional training to help them improve their skills.
REGULAR PERFORMANCE REVIEWS: Regular performance reviews can help identify areas where an employee may be struggling and give you an opportunity to provide feedback and support.
MONITOR PROGRESS: Regularly check in with the employee to monitor their progress and provide additional feedback and support as needed.
