A hernia is an opening or tear in the muscles covering the belly. This permit a loop of gut to push through and form a lump under the skin. Hernias usually come from lifting something heavy, or straining (as during childbirth). Some babies are born with a hernia.
In men, hernias are common in the groin. Swollen lymph nodes may also cause lumps in the groin.

Once a hernia has started:
  • Try to press it back while lying down
  • Avoid lifting heavy objects.. Treat a cough.
  • Make a truss to hold the hernia in.
  • Prepare to go to hospital for a hernia repair operation.

CAUTION:
If a hernia suddenly becomes large or painful, try to make it GI back by lying with the feet higher than the head, and pressing gently on the bulge.

If it will not go back , or the pain gets worse, with vomiting, and the person can not have a bowel movement , the hernia may be strangulated. This is very dangerous Take the person to hospital for an operation urgently. In the meantime, treat as for appendicitis.

What is your take about this you can say some things that we can also benefit from.
