When you have IBS, your stomach and intestinal tract are sensitive and can become irritated easily.
It is a real pain to deal with, but it doesn’t have to be. Here are some simple tips and tricks to keep IBS at bay while traveling so you can make the most of your time in another place:

√ Pack extra toilet paper. You never know where you’re going to end up when you’re out and about, and having an extra roll handy could be a lifesaver.

√ Stock up on snacks. To avoid spending money on food that might not sit well with your stomach, pack snacks for yourself so you can skip the headache of searching for something new to eat especially if you’re in a foreign country!

√ Drink lots of water. It may sound counterintuitive, but one common trigger of IBS is dehydration. Make sure you stay hydrated by packing a reusable water bottle and drinking plenty of water throughout the day.

√ Bring medication with you everywhere you go. This way, if you start feeling symptoms, you’ll be able to treat them quickly!
