There are many reasons why some jobs are not made public. It happens everywhere but most time some political class always make sure they reserve some lucrative jobs for their circle alone. It does happen where I come from. How can we now break the jinx?

Be the best option: I do tell people that there is no replacement for the best hand. When you are the best, they will look for you no matter where you are. That's why people patronise people that are not in any way in a conspicuous place. So we should endeavour to be the best in our area of specialisation.

Connect with the right people: it is not about knowing many people but knowing the right ones. We should make sure we connect ourselves with the top people in that organisation. We can do this by making sure we attend seminars organize by that organisation, familiarizing ourselves with workers in such a place of work.


Distribute our CV: a friend once asked me whether we need to wait till a company wants vacancy before we submit our CV or we can do it at anytime. I told him that we can do it at anytime regardless of any vacancy of not.

You are so right maybe we resident in the same country because your scenerio here is what is going on in my country right now and I doubt such will go away for a long time. You can imagine a job that is reserve for a person that is still in school because the father or mother is highly placed while people are roaming the streets looking for these jobs.
