If your inverter stops charging when connected to a generator or mains supply, there are a few things you can do to troubleshoot and determine what the issue may be.
First, ensure that your generator is on, and/or that the mains supply is functioning normally. If it is not, there is likely nothing wrong with your inverter.
Second, check that the input voltage on the inverter matches the output voltage of your generator or mains supply. If the output does not match your inverter's input requirements, it will not be able to charge correctly.
Third, check all connections between your inverter and generator or mains supply to ensure they are firmly seated and secure. Loose connections can lead to a loss of power during charging.
Also check the inverter input plug, ensure there is no broken fuse. You can check wire continuity if you are an expert.
Lastly, if nothing works definitely your battery is either bad or your inverter damaged.
