How To Manage Diabetes?

1.Though it is a team work between you and your physician to manage your Diabetes, more responsibility lies on you to implement.

2. Please get the blood tests done as and when advised by your physician.

3. Blood test at home also can be taken with the help of glucometer easily.

4. Change in the lifestyle is a must and neglected diabetes can lead to many serious side effects.

5. Exercise daily at least 30 minutes twice a day. Any aerobic exercise will do even simple walk is good

6. Take all the medicines recommended by your physician regularly without missing them.

7. Restrict the food as advised by your physician. Say Big no to Cold drinks, Ice creams, Cakes, Carbohydrate rich diets etc. which gives instant energy and increases the blood glucose.

8. Please have whole grains, lean proteins, fibers, and unsaturated fats.

9. Take regular medicines for Hypertension as the diabetes and hypertension combination is very dangerous in the long run.

10. Stop Smoking and have the alcohol only on the advice of your physician.
