When it comes to budgeting it isn't just about buying what is important to you , you can also save money when you budget. It is always good to look for ways by which you can save money. This is because In reality it is good to save money than spend it.
So how can you use a budget to save money
Go for only items that your budgeted money can buy. Even if it means getting the alternative of it that is cheaper
Leave the house only with the money you had budgeted for things. This way you wouldn't be spending more as your money would only cover the things you budgeted for. And of course you save your remaining money
Avoid the urge to add new things to the list. Adding new things will mean more money and your first thought of saving money will be defeated. So save new needs for the next budget and see if you would still need them in future.
