The use of billboards and radio for advertisement is not a waste of client money, but it is not the most effective way to advertise. Billboards are expensive and can only be seen by people who happen to be driving by at the right time, which means that they are often seen by people who are not in your target market. Radio can also be expensive, and even if you have a spot on a popular show, it will likely attract listeners who are not likely to buy what you're selling.

Radio ads are also targeted towards specific demographics, so if you have an older product, chances are younger people (who may not be interested) won’t hear your ad. A much better use of advertising dollars is online advertising: banner ads, pay-per-click (PPC) ads, etc. Online ads allow you to target specific audiences based on demographics like age or gender and location, .and they can be changed at any time in order to reflect new information about your product or services.
