Joining civic groups to use spare time

I was once invited by several groups for seniors. The first one is the senior’s club in our village. They have regular activities twice a month. The next invite was from the church group that I also declined. I am not too religious. There’s also the zumba group. They exercise in the village park every morning. Zumba is the name of a dance exercise so there is music to perk up the participants.

Come to think of it, those retired people with nothing to do at home can be occupied when they join such groups. As my support I always donate a prize for their Christmas raffle (the senior’s club) because I like what they are doing. The only reason why I do not join is that I am always occupied and I have no spare time for them.
