L'OFFICIEL, a well-known French fashion magazine, has revealed plans to debut part of its seasons in the rapidly expanding metaverse.

L'OFFICIEL declared in a blog post that its future lies in the metaverse, and that the company's recent acquisition by Hong Kong-based financial services firm AMTD International will help it make the transition.

In the metaverse, AMTD International will debut its collaboration with L'OFFICIEL in the virtual game world The Sandbox, nicknamed Fashion Skin.

The project will include a virtual apparel collection created with artificial intelligence and linked to L'OFFICIEL's database. The magazine claims to have over 100,000 exclusive photographs during its century of circulation.

AMTD intends to grow L'OFFICIEL's footprint in Hong Kong, Macau, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Switzerland, and the Netherlands following the acquisition.

The move into the metaverse is obvious, according to L'OFFICIEL, given the platform's reputation for virtually participating in the fashion industry.

The House of Dreams, a digital museum, was the start of the virtual magazine's presence. The museum held a non-fungible tokens (NFT) exhibition from L'OFFICIEL's archives to commemorate the company's 100th anniversary.

The ways at which money is been made in the metaverse community is on the increase and it is evident on what we see in the crypto space everyday.
