Eat the entire rainbow. To keep things fresh and exciting, try a variety of fruits and vegetables, especially those of different colors. If the idea of heaping fruit on your plate doesn't appeal to you, try incorporating it into ice cream, yogurt, or smoothies. If you're not a fan of raw vegetables, consider roasting them or dipping them in a small bit of sauce for added taste.

Diet is important but don't ignore your family background. A lot of stuff gets passed down through the "genes". If you have high blood pressure, diabetes, heart condition, etc. in your family background, that puts you at "high risk". Even if you feel fine, go to a doctor and get checked. When my friend went to the doctor he was surprised to learn that he had high cholesterol and was at risk of having a stroke. The doctor told him to make some major dietary changes if he wanted to avoid that. People in my family know what foods that they need to avoid. One of my kids ignored the risk and is now dealing with the results of a bad diet. The health condition could have been avoided if dietary changes had been made earlier.
