Clearance sales are realistic ways for a business to save costs of holding inventory. Which products should be sold in clearance sales? Let's explore.
1) Products that are seasonal and the business could not sell out before the season elapsed. For instance, remainders of winter jackets that could not be sold should be cleared in the summer.
2) Perishable products: Products that have a very short life span should be cleared off within a short period to it's shelf life limit to avoid losing all.
3) Slightly Damaged goods: When goods are damaged and can't be sold in it's original form and structure, it is best to clear it off and cut your losses.
4) Near Expiry Goods: Goods that are almost expiring should be cleared off as quickly as possible.
