It is absolutely necessary and important for every individual to have a career plan in his or her life. And in case you are wondering what exactly is a career plan, well a career plan is considered to be a guide or a body of rules and regulation in which an individual must have set for him or herself in order to private his or her mindset as well as behaviour toward a particular career or job in order to boost his or her possibility and capability of achieving such dream job or career in which he or she wishes to accomplish or achieve in less than no time. Basically many individuals have what exactly what they will love to be in future, that idea and mindset alone is basically what we mean by a career plan. It is not in all cases that people get to achieve their dream jobs and career and the reason is because overtime people's perspective concerning a particular job and career may absolutely change, and so because of this they might switch to looking for another category of job or career. Let us briefly discuss why it is important for an individual to have a career plan.

CLARITY: A career plan provides clarity on the direction and steps needed to achieve career goals. It helps to identify the skills, experience, and qualifications required for a particular career path and creates a roadmap to achieve them.

FOCUS: A career plan provides focus by setting specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals. This helps to prioritise activities and avoid distractions that do not align with career goals.

MOTIVATION: A career plan can serve as a source of motivation by providing a sense of purpose and direction. It can help individuals stay motivated and committed to achieving their career goals, especially during challenging times.

SELF-AWARENESS: A career plan can help individuals gain self-awareness by identifying their strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement. This can help individuals make informed decisions about career choices and opportunities that align with their skills and interests.

I've lived long enough to be able to give this advice. Always be adaptable because … life happens! You should definitely set career goals and plan ways to achieve those goals. However, an event might occur in your life that causes you to take a different path. So you should also have a backup plan. In fact, one backup plan is good; but two backup plans are even better!
