As a student in school , it is not easy to be thinking about saving money because you're only getting little amount of money as your support from either parents or some scholarship organisations that are helping you through School .

It is still very important for students to try as much as possible to save money no matter how much it is , because there's no little amount of money when it comes to saving , due to the fact that small amount saved continuously would have grown big by the time you graduate from school .

This is especially important if you're somebody who is from a country that there is no guarantee of jobs when you graduate.

Save money while in school and you are going to have good amount of money as capital which can then be used to start up a business when you graduate from school .

this is a mistake that a lot of people are making and it has caused them to end up in a situation whereby they have to be begging other people for money even as graduates of universities and colleges .

If as a student , you cannot discipline yourself to save money , that means when you graduate and are working, it will be very very difficult for you to think about saving money too .

As a student , you can have some money saved your bank account by disciplining yourself to make sure that you do not necessarily spend on certain things that other students may be spending on .

You have to be able to differentiate what are the things you really need and other things you can do without .

When you are able to successfully do this , it will be very difficult for you to end up in a messy situation where you do not have any savings at all , like some people are doing.

Hi. Thank you very much for your interesting thread. I like the topic you have chosen very much. As soon as I read the title, I clicked on it and I started reading your post. Saving money as a student is a wonderful idea.

It is true that especially nowadays, money is very important in our lives. Without money, it is impossible to survive. You need money in order to cover your daily needs and the needs of your family. Furthermore, if you have some money aside, you can make plans for the future and be financially free. For these reasons, it is wise to start saving money as a student. In this way, after your graduation, you will have some money so as to go to the university of your choice and concentrate on your studies rather than studying and working at the same time which is surely not easy at all. You can even start your own business.

In my opinion, parents should teach their children the importance of saving money. Unfortunately, people have created a lot of needs that are not real. They feel that they always need something like a new car, a new house, a new laptop or a new smartphone. This endless! So, it is very significant for the children from a young age to learn to save some money and not to spend it carelessly on things they do not really need.

This thread is really captivating but I wonder why users are yet to give their opinion on this matter. There are many students who struggle in having their basic needs so, saving money is not part of their plan. Most students who are fortunate to have parents who sponsor them through school still do not see the need to save. Most students always tend to compete among themselves. They want to make use of the latest cars, latest phones, latest fashion sense but they fail to resize the importance of saving money. There is a young lad I knew of, he had wealthy parents and never saw the need to save while he had such opportunity. He lavished money and was seen with different cars and mobile gadgets every week. He had different hair do and enjoyed his life to the brim.


Unfortunately, he faced a major crisis,which according to the story, his father was lowered in position because he was a bank manager in a private company but he was no more. The money was no more flowing as it use to. This young lad found it very hard to adapt because he was not acquainted when it comes to managing or saving funds. He had to sell all his valuables. This is to say that, the importance of savings cannot be undermined.

Well over here people shouldn't really expect employment immediately after graduation because they may be so disappointed to find out that there is no employment after graduation . Because of this it is better to look for a way to raise up money to start up a business after you are done with the university because this will really help you and will put you at a high chance of making money than for you to be expecting work from the government then at the end of the day you are disappointed if you are not able to get one.

And also it is necessary for us to study something we can be able to established on our own than for us to study something that we have to depend totally on the government because in a situation like that there is likely to be a high rate of unemployment if we are to wait for the government here .

The country is somehow rules by bad leaders making it very difficult for people to succeed in most cases. Saving is very important and not really for the students but for everyone generally , it will really help in the future .

Unless you have an income source, it will be very difficult to save money as a student. Your first priority will be to pay your tuition fees, then you will have to spend money on course materials, you also need to spend money for food and lodging. How will you manage these things if you do not have an income. In countries like the United States, students can do a lot of jobs from working in a restaurant to becoming an uber driver and generate income that they can not only use to cover their education expenses but also save some money, However, in many countries, there are no jobs for students and they have to depend heavily on their parents to manage their education and other expenses. If the parents cannot afford to pay for their kids' education, these kids will not even be able to get proper education. You might try to get a part time job or even freelancing gigs, but for this you need skills and expertise, no one is giving you jobs just because you need it, you will have to prove your worth to get a job, if you have an income source, you should try to save as much as you can.

As a student , saving money might be very difficult ans it depends on the type of family you actually comes from, there are some students that comes from a poor family background which their family had to struggle before getting them the little amount to come to school in which the money might not be enough to feed and buy hand out not to talk about saving money .
And the other set of people are from a rich family background that have enough to save , and the main solution for every student to have savings is by having a side job or an investment that won't affect their studies.

A student can start earning , take care of his or her needs and also start saving by simply working on paid to post forum sites , working as a freelancing ,buying , selling and investement of crypto currency or become a blogger.
