Should monopolies be government or privately owned.

Monopolies are more like cartels that is businesses that handle entrepreneur activities that are important to the masses itself. Monopolies can also be defined as businesses that carry out only one unique activity which all other businesses may not carry out for example them and sell a particular product or issue a particular service which other businesses may not be able to have delivered to do so as a result of restriction or incapability. In every regions and countries of the world there are government own monopolies and privately own monopolies. According to my own personal judgment I believe that a monopoly is better of when it is government owned so as to do away with the disparity admist income earned by both individuals living in the rural areas or urban areas.

When monopolies are privately own it could lead to scarcity of resources, it can also lead to unequal growth in the economy as it might only favor the rich compared to the poor. Privately own monopolies may lead to economic instability and unemployment.
