The best way to get more traffic (organic traffic) to your website is to focus on creating content that appeals to your market. The first step in this process is research, which can be done with Google Analytics. If you have a website already up and running, use Google Analytics to see what keywords people are searching for that land them on your site.
Make note of the terms they use when they search for those terms and then start writing articles based on those terms. The Second Process is if you don't have a website yet, create one using Wordpress or another platform that allows you to easily add new pages and posts as needed without having to hire someone else (which can get expensive). This way, when you're ready to publish something new on your blog or website, simply add it in and it will show up automatically. Once these two steps have been taken care of, it's time for promotion.
The biggest mistake most people make is trying too hard without getting results. The key here is consistency: keep posting content consistently over time until people start noticing what you're doing. Then keep going until they start getting it out to their friends (and hopefully sharing their experiences with others).
