As a public speaker, an event host, and an emcee, I have to say that we face numerous challenges in the discharge of our jobs. Even with the allure that the job of an events hist presents, there are challenges we face. I have been beaten out of an event venue before. In this article, I present the challenges faced by event hosts in case anyone has the interest to join this career.
1) Time Management: The owner of an event and guests would arrive late. The event starts late but everyone is expecting you to moderate 15 items in one hour.
2) Unresponsive audience: These one won't clap or participate in anything throughout the event. They came to gossip and eat. In this kind of the event, you would be the one to call and applaud.
3) Everybody/ group must perform: They have rehearsed, and they are in their costume. You must call them to perform whether there is time or not. If you don't , you might end up being beaten or you make more enemies.
