It is one thing to run a recruitment process for a business organisation, it's is another thing to be able to effectively blend those new intakes into your team to make them perform at an effective level. These few tips are helpful to onboard new staff members.

1) On-board at the right setting and atmosphere: Introduce a new member of staff to the rest of the team in a tension free setting. Let the atmosphere be relaxed. A team lunch won't be a bad idea for staff onboarding.

2) Be clear about the job roles and goals of the new employee: Define to the new employee what his core duties are. Don't give room for ambiguity on what they have to do. Making a new employee feel lost is a very bad way for him to start a journey with your company.

3) Provide avenues for the new employee to learn: Pair the new employee with a senior and experienced member of staff to build confidence and help in the learning process.

Depending on the culture of a company or a recruitment company, on boarding can be simple or complex, if you're resuming to a fortune 500 company or a large organization, onboarding can take a very long time, I read on LinkedIn some time back about a Google employee who spent around 6 months being on boarded to the company.

The smaller the organization the easier the on boarding process, also another factor is how important your role is, a CEO will be on boarded faster because he makes things happen, compared to a manager who have less effect to the organization.
