Damian Williams, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, issued a statement on Twitter yesterday. Caroline Ellison and Gary Wang pled guilty to fraud charges, according to the statement. The senior executives have also committed to helping with the FTX investigation.
Ellison and Wang, both former SBF executives, have pleaded guilty. They are the past CEOs of Alameda and FTX, respectively. They are currently pleading guilty to fraud charges stemming from FTX's demise.
This announcement came on the heels of SBF's extradition from the Bahamas. William further disclosed that Bankman-Fried is presently in the custody of the FBI. We can affirm that SBF will face allegations of fraud, money laundering, conspiracy, and campaign finance crimes at this time. There are presently no indicators of Ryan Salame or any more steps being taken against him.
