Elon Musk, the new owner of micro-blogging social media site Twitter, recently announced that he would charge fees for maintaining a "blue tick" or verified account. Musk gave people an opportunity to debate it, but as the controversy escalated, it has been reduced to $8 form $20.

Although people are still objecting, Twitter has decided that the verification fee is necessary to increase Twitter revenue and prevent spam accounts, so it will not back down from its decision.

Good Idea - This is a right decision, because if any company, organization, or person promotes on Twitter, then by charging a legal fee from them, Twitter's position will be good, and the disputes regarding the blue tick will also be curbed.

Bad Idea - There is also a mistake in this decision, because if a fake ID becomes valid by paying a fee, then the original entity or person can dispute it and file a court case, which is not good for the company.

So what do you believe? This is good or bad idea?

Very bad idea. As you mentioned, anyone can get verified easily just by paying. If it's a mix of verification and later a nominal fee will be good idea.
