In order to start a shop on Facebook and Instagram you will have to meet certain requirements, for example, you need at least 10K followers on Instagram to create an Instagram, likewise, on Facebook you are subject to approval.

Sell through your page: If you want to create Facebook Shop or Instagram Shop, you will have to follow the requirements such as you need to be located in certain region and need to follow the monetization policy. However, you can start selling products directly from your page. Instead of listing your product for sale, you can also promote products from your third party stores (etsy, for example) or your own online store and drive your followers to these stores.

A lot of people now sell only online they have moved their business online and it is booming for them even more than when they were having it offline. This is because online you are selling to people that are from.different countries and you might make good money off them as they would want to patronised you.

Facebook has the highest number of people on it. it has been recorded that Facebook has about 3 billions people so you can imagine the number of people that would patronise you if you are able to reach even 2 % of these people.

So the bottom line is that these two platforms are good places to sell you need to either have a shop online or you create a page to sell your goods and services.

You can set up a shop and then sell from your shop. However, you will have to fulfill certain requirements for setting up shop. For a lot of people, this might not even be possible. However, you can easily sell from your own page if you share products on your page. You can sell easily if you have a lot of followers, however, you can sell even when you do not have a lot of followers. You can run ads and generate sales. Facebook ads do not cost much, you can even start with as low as $10. You can run a $1 per day ad for 10 days to see the result. Well, there is no guarantee that you can generate sales from ads, running ads will only increase the likelihood of generating sales. However, if you want to do business you should be willing to invest money on marketing and promotion.
