Understanding retirement planning

In the simplest sense, retirement planning is the planning that one does to be prepared for life after paid work ends, not just financially but in all aspects of life. The non-financial aspects include lifestyle choices such as how to spend time in retirement, where to live, when to quit working altogether, etc. A holistic approach to retirement planning considers all these areas.

Retirement plan is something we don't really plan in Nigeria, we work all our lives out and all of a sudden we realise that we are already old and there is no plans on ground. Retirement plans is what we can also refer to as a future plan when we become unemployable or too old to render our services. And this is a very essential plan to make in other to avert the challenges that comes with old age. One is suppose to make good business establishment that can stand the test of time and that can live on even when we are no more on earth for our unborn generation.
