Visa and others to stop working in Russia

It has recently been said that most cryptocurrency exchanges and fintech companies will stop receiving transactions completed with some credit cards. Some big payment processors companies like Visa, PayPal and MasterCard that have been operating in the country for more than 25 years has announced that operations in Russia would be suspended due to the current fight against Ukraine.

Many companies are also restricting there service for Russia like Apple Pay and Google Pay that aslo recently restricted service for some Russia citizens. Coinbase also on Sunday said that they have blocked many wallets relating to Russians that are more than 25,000 address.

In a statement by Russia’s central bank on Sunday said that Mastercard and Visa cards would continue there operations in Russia until their expiration date as users are still using ATMs and making payments. Moreover users that wants to exchange to cryptocurrency have been unable to exchange to cryptocurrency using credit cards in Russia but they can still do so with P2P method. A Twitter user "Inna" said that credit cards still works for people that are staying in Russia but will not be able to leave there because they will not be able to buy with the card while still in Russia. There are some exchanges that are also planning to stop there service for Russians.
