Code is a tool for accomplishing a goal, not an end in itself. The best developers apply their technical skills to make things that are amusing, clever, and useful. Reframing how we approach things that we are accustomed to seeing as "painful" is an important part of cultivating the bliss of coding.

If you want people to scroll, keep the important information "above the fold." Don't use sliders or other distracting elements with jarring color schemes. Keep your website looking clean and light. Do not be afraid to steal the most recent website design ideas from other sites. To replicate and store static elements/files on your website, use a Content Delivery Network (CDN).
