A gas fee is a fee that a person has to pay for making transactions and entering into contracts on the Ethereum blockchain system. Gas fees are calculated in Gwei units, Gas fees are high because there are too many token transaction activities running on the Ethereum blockchain, it is expected that Gas fees will be cheap after switching to Eth 2.0 in full.
