Duplicate content can be interpreted as content that has been written or published on one site and then the creator also reloads or publishes the same content on other sites, but if plagiarism is the theft of other people's content and is recognized as own content and is illegal. But both duplicate content and plagiarism will have a bad impact on SEO and are not liked by Search Engines. In your opinion, what are the bad effects of duplicate content on SEO?

When it comes to duplicate contents shared on your website their is always a consequences for that. Plagiarism isn't taken lightly by any AdSense company especially Google. Google has slammed a lot of users for such act, copying others contents and pasting it on their own blog or forum. Anyone who is engaged on that, wouldn't last long if he or she is earning from AdSense ads, AdSense networks doesn't encourage plagiarism. It is better to read through the body of the heading, understand the contents very well then go to your website and create a new post based on your level of understanding of the information gained from another author, without copying word to word of everything written by the original author. At least in that way you aren't copying and pasting and Google wouldn't slam you, provided you provided the information based on your own words descriptions. Google and any other AdSense networks encourages hard work, and doesn't like where some publishers steals another user's hard work that he or she laboured to generate. It takes real hard work to generate a SEO related contents, seeing your hard work being used by another is very much annoying no doubt.

Duplicate content confuses Google and forces the search engine to choose which of the identical pages it should rank in the top results. Regardless of who produced the content, there is a high possibility that the original page will not be the one chosen for the top search results.

Duplicate content will attract Google penalty whenever a new update comes out. Google see those who are engaging in duplicate content as a spammer. They are not adding any value to the search engine that will benefit the users.

Google is looking for those who are going to provide unique content or answer to every search query generate on the search engine. It is going to be a waste of resources if you are trying to write the same thing as someone else on Google search engine.

Google is only looking for those who can add value to the search engine user. They are doing this to protect their investment and resources together with credibility.

Yeah let's use personal preference to explain this better. Imagine you are looking for a particular information on how to solve a personal problem. One of the things you do is to go over to Google search engine in order to get information about the problem.

Now imagine seeing the same results on different website. You are going to be frustrated by the actions of the website owners. Indirectly Google search engine is going to lose credibility as a result. Google do everything within its capacity to get rid of duplicate content from their search engine.

It is always important that whenever you are doing anything online you should ensure that your content that you are creating is unique and you are not just copying and pasting from another platform because they can also be consequences as well. The Google algorithm has tools that can be able to help them identify if a content is plagiarized or not and that is going to be very bad for your search engine optimisation if they are ever going to discover that you have copied content from another website. In some severe cases they can even blacklist your website completely and that is going to stop you from appearing on their search even if it is for another different word for article altogether .

Posting of other people's content in your own website is going to get you in big trouble with copyright content . The original owner of the contest can decide to send an email to your hosting provider who is going to suspend your account and then you will be a very big wheel in order to get it back. You can also choose to sue you physically and then you are going to waste a lot of money on legal fees.

Duplicate content causes Google to get perplexed, and it is forced to determine which of the similar sites it should rank higher in the search engine results. The likelihood that the original page will not be selected for inclusion in the top search results is significant, regardless of who created the material.

Duplicate content is a Google penalty, and it can have adverse effects on your SEO. Google wants to show their users the best results possible, so they penalize websites that have duplicate content. They want to see unique, quality content that will help them solve their problems. If you have duplicate content on your site, then you're not giving Google what they want, and that can hurt your SEO.

In addition to hurting your SEO, duplicate content can also be confusing for users. If one page has the same information as another page on your site, then it's hard for people who visit both pages to know which one has more useful information. This can lead them to leave your site without reading any of the material on either page.

Duplicate content also makes it harder for search engines like Google to crawl your website effectively because they have more work than usual in order to find all of the pages on your site that are relevant for any given search query. This slows down their crawling process and ultimately hurts your rankings in SERPs because it takes longer for them to index new content on your website.
