The cyst on my cheek had to be removed so I underwent many tests for the required clearance when I undergo surgery. First is the blood chemistry that includes the blood sugar level, cholesterol level and uric acid. A urinalysis was also taken. After the CT scan of the cyst I also had a lung x-ray and an ECG for my heart. I thought it was all done but when I entered the hospital a day before the surgery a blood clot test was taken and also the blood typing.
Now I understand that surgery under general anesthesia has many requirements. That is to insure that the patient’s health can handle the anesthesia aside from the rigors of the surgery. It is unfortunate that I have to experience a surgery like that. It is punishing to my emotional health.
