What can Cryptocurrency do for some stores that accept cash?

I have not seen many stores accepting cryptocurrency yet. It seems great to have cryptocurrency but when retailers do not accept this payment then what is holding on the cryptocurrency good for. I am not sure yet what is the future of currency but I can say that Cryptocurrency is a long way from being a standard accepted payment.
